Range Functions

The Range Functions page provides tools for managing and creating ranges in your reinforcement drawings. This includes functionalities to handle ranges for single bars and the ability to center text on ranges. Below, you'll find detailed instructions on how to use these features effectively.

Creating Ranges for Single Bars

To create ranges specifically for single bars, follow these steps:

  1. Call the Range function from the ribbon.
  2. When prompted, enter a spacing value or press Enter to use the last used spacing.
  3. Select the bar you want to range in the drawing. You can also choose an existing range if you wish to update it.
  4. Define the Range Start and End points by clicking on the desired locations in your drawing. This will set the boundaries for the range.
  5. Click to add the points for the leader if required. The leader points will continue to be added until you press ESC to end the command.

Make sure to press ESC after placing the leader to complete the range creation process.

Removing a Range

To remove a range from your project, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Remove Range function from the ribbon.
  2. Click on the range you want to remove.
  3. Confirm the removal if prompted to finalize the operation.

Once completed, the selected range will be removed from your drawing.

Centering Text on Ranges

The Center Text function allows you to position text centrally on a range for better readability and alignment. To center text on ranges, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Center Text function from the ribbon.
  2. Click on the range line where you want to center the text.
  3. The tool will automatically position the text at the center of the selected range, adjusting for alignment and spacing.

By using the Center Text function, you can ensure that your text is neatly aligned and centered on the ranges in your reinforcement drawings.
