How to Use the "Stepped Group" Function in Your CAD Plugin

The Stepped Group function allows you to create a stepped range between two existing bars without having to manually add new bars. This function simplifies the process and saves time when working with step ranges in your designs.

Step 1: Ensure You Have Two Bars

Before you begin, make sure you have two single bars that you want to use to create the stepped range. These bars should be properly positioned in your design.

Step 2: Call the "Stepped Group" Function

From the Ribbon menu, select the "Stepped Group" function. This will prompt the system to begin the process of generating the stepped range.

Step 3: Input the Spacing

Once the function is activated, you’ll be asked to input the desired spacing between each step. Enter a value based on the spacing requirements for your project.

Step 4: Pick the First and Second Bars

After entering the spacing, you will be prompted to select the first bar and then the second bar. These bars will define the range that will be stepped.

Step 5: Set the Range and Place the Leader

Next, you can specify the start and end points of the stepped range between the two selected bars. After setting the range, place the leader where needed to guide and position the stepped range within your design. Adjust the placement to fit your layout and visual requirements.

  • Tip 1: You can use the Plot All function to display all the bars in the stepped range at once. This helps visualize the entire range clearly.
